Depending on the version, the connection can be made via the Gateway connector (Fast connect) or by changing the pins in the steering column electronics control module connector (J527).
Before connecting, open the driver's door, wait until the instrument cluster turns off, and then start connecting.
The adapter is connected to the Gateway, and the original connector is connected to the adapter.

Pin-to-Pin for MQB/MQB-EVO
The pin-to-pin version is installed in the connector of the steering column electronics control module, which is located under the steering wheel.
Connector location
Depending on the ribbon cable and whether the steering wheel heating is present, pull the pins out of the plug according to the table and pin them into the module connector. The wires coming out of the module must be pinned into the factory plug.
